Seeds. again... I'm stuck!

May all the angels and saints, Muhammed, Buddha, His holiness the Dalai Llama, every teacher I ever had (whether they knew it or not), ex lovers, ex friends, every animal spirit I ever mistreated or treated well, all my totem powers, all the major and minor players in the tarot, all sprites, nymphs, dopplegangers, all of you all... AND I MEAN all of you all... (Jeepdog excluded – hee heee haa haaa hoo hoooo – too much talent & knowhow there already and besides a blog on seeds just gets his gander up – hee hee)
Come divest me of seeds!
Tell me where and when and I’ll spend them. I’m at 101 now (102 with this offering) and can’t get rid of them fast enough and I’ve been trying... AM I the only one??? Bring me back to zero so I can return to my old free loving self and get out of this cage I’ve chosen to be in!
From the get go I had trouble wrapping my head around how this seemingly “token economy” seed thing worked. Jake are you out there? I know you worked hard on this – I’m still trying to see how it works...
Big question and point here: Does my “giving” seeds really help folks get more views? AND if so I want it to be easier to spread seeds.
Here’s one poor soul (me) in a bind of his own choosing...
Last I found I’m capped at 104 seeds which means anything I post/do/say on the site gathers me no more. No probs... except I used to reply/respond/comment as I wished – yet now I get a seed and a seed must be spent right? And (silly me --- if I post a seed, well then I need a seed, now that I expect one). Somehow I’m choosing to be stuck between a make believe “seed” economy in which my spending seeds bubbles what I find worthy to the top of the “who sees it list” and just being me and commenting at will. Eeergh.
Is this seed thing working? My findings...
Still a pain in the buttocks to caste a seed at a time for a blog and wait for the page refresh...
Haven’t tried out on the pods yet...
Don’t know what I’ll BE when/if my circle is full of yellow... DO I get super powers?? If sooo... Let’s start small with lucid dreaming or astral travel.

Aley - controversy abounds - the bridgebuilder in me wants to get to the support of it all. Thus I am where I am. Can't do controversy just for controversies sake or I'd become the modern media - lol. ;(
Thought about randomly spreading them to new zaddznowgaiazters without there being aware. That might be fun for a bit.
Alas now I'll be at 103 - oh the trials and tribulations of life… hee hee and haa haa.

They're seeds; plant them and plant them. Hopefully where you plant your seeds someone will grow a part of themselves that has been hidden. Then maybe we can see something new. Hmmmmmm, You never know what will happen. LOL keep working on it.
Well, I'm at 134 now. So, while I'm reading blogs, posts, photos, I'm sure to press the “I like it” link as many times as possible. I'm finding that I have to do this every 2 weeks or so. Practice random acts of seed planting (but play safe). Now I'll get another seed just for this post, but I'll give you 5 as well. tehe tehe Back to you my friend. Plant 'em if you got 'em.

My seeds are stuck… I can blog and comment and comment and blog… my seed status stays the same.

Yes, the giving of seeds should be made easier! If anyone on here is still on dial up the waiting between screens while the next seed loads into the recipients silo is going to make them bite all their nails off! (That's why I started having nails put on over the ones I'd bite off during a dial up session. I'd rather have the cost of high speed internet then pay for cable television any day!)
Oh, by the way, I have seed envy! I only have 57 seeds! How'd all of you get over 100? Those must be the… SUPER POWERS!

Whatever you're wandering around doing on Gaia and dropping seeds on is great! I'm sure you're not dropping seeds on a one sentence blog with no point! And even if you were, who cares if it bubbles to the top of the heap! I'm not reading those anyway! I'm reading yours and that's all that matters!

The seeds seem to me to be like the modern media. A possibly important part of life yet I'm unclear exactly how it works. I want to tune in and play yet am unsure about the rules and effects AND if It's even worth playing/tuning in in the first place. YES - way overthinking!!!
In the meantime… regardless of seeds or news people keep connecting! Saying Hi. Saying thanks! Saying “good for you!”

And with this comment my seed count is now at 10 (or 11 after this comment). Why?? - I found a glitch here and unloaded about 50. Glad I did and it brought to me the reality of this system. It could be fun and may be fun for some. I think it's funny that a jeepdog pic (of a shadow at that) was what brought me to this resolution of the issue. Seeds are /were an aggravation for me. The entire time I spent seeds I watched the counter 89,258 continuously (my actions weren't changing it).
As a leader of people I know an ambiguous and hard to understand system of rewards actually creates more problems than any reward it might send out. I think that’s what has happened here and it’s unfortunate.
After initially balking when the seed thing started I decided I'd give it a try. I wondered why simple hits on an entry weren't enough to show this was a pic, topic, response, the community was “buzzing” around. I still don't understand that and I don't see the “bubble effect” mentioned - that is the good stuff rising to the top. I think I can have the same “butterfly effect” just by saying Hi with a comment that gets me nothing other than the joy of connecting. I know Jake worked hard on this yet without a clear effect and understanding of the system it continues to seem like a waste of time to me.
I don’t see the following on any measurable basis from my using the system:
The Seed System allows you, and the rest of our community, to:
1) Elevate helpful, thoughtful, positive and inspiring content
2) Recognize those community members who've been most appreciated by others (be it because of their commitment to blogging or their behind-the-scenes emails to those in need of support)
3) Provide a positive and meaningful feedback channel among members and administrators
As I said, I never really GOT the whole seed thing in the first place so the fact that there are multiple glitches doesn't bother me so much. Despite the fact this was introduced months ago the glitches and changes abound and requests for simple fixes (don’t make me refresh a page over and over a single seed at a time to reward a GREAT blog – especially when I can’t see the effect of my waiting, refreshing, seeding, waiting, refreshing, seeding, waiting, refreshing, seeding, waiting………….) are still what must be dealt with.
I really do trust the Team has bigger issues to deal with than this so - there you have it. Nice concept. Thanks for the work developing and implementing. Now I'll let it die a slow death. No more over thinking or trying to figure out exactly how it works, or what it means. Maybe it’ll be revised in a new more understandable and usable format.
Back to connecting just for the joy of it without the question of seeds.

Well, I'm glad it did not have any impact, since that would have me a bit irked that my shadow was a “hot” item.
Now, your point is incredibly pertinent. You threw 50 seeds at the shadow (hell, I think a shadow is a great thing at which to be throwing seeds, by the way), and NADA on the “hot” items. Right. I find that incredibly intriquing, since what is the likihood of another photo having 50 seeds in a day.
So, my shadow stay anonymous (for which I am slightly pleased), whilst a “hot” photo on our glorious GAIA intro page is some naked dude covering his schlong with a metal pot.
Yup, THERE'S quality for ya.
So, beware. I have 150 or so seeds that is beginning to bug the daylights out of me. I think I shall return the favor…
well, i only have 134 or something, but i don't do anything special in terms of i like it or whatever, i am just very active on the site and it keeps going up.

yeah, yeah. We're having a seed fight, if you don't mind. Sort of like a food fight, but much less messy, except every so often someone looses an eye in a seed fight.

Hee hee - reminded of kids at any social gathering. They need nothing but basic rules to make up a game. Like let's just run back and forth between this tree and around that bush screaming our heads off and laughing. While the “adults” follow proper ettiquette and sit quietly talking about important stuff in their lawn chairs.
I'm not sure who are the adults and who are the kids here yet creative genius is making up it's own rules while waiting for clarification. Maybe it'll come in time… and maybe not.

I do random acts of seed giving. More or less. I get very nervous when my seedbank starts to get over 200. Yes I said 200. I once had 260 or something. Don't ask me why or how. Bad karma, is what I put it down to. I spend whole days trying to give them away. Amber? Link me to your friend Jim and I'll see what I can do.
Thing is, I'm still not sure, no matter how often I've read all the instructions, if someone 'gets' seeds in any other way than that thingie on their profile page which you can only give 5 of. I hate that. I mean only 5? So. what I want to know is does someone get more seeds if a blog or pic of theirs gets seeded? I seem to remember not. I'm so confused about this whole thing., I thought your glow thingie got more glowing the more people seeded your comments/content. But now the glow thingie is no longer.
oh isn't life so full of trials and tribulations. Or is that tribbles? Why not tribbles instead of seeds? At least they are cuddly.
