Update

Posted on Sep 11th, 2007 by HeyOK : Bridgebuilder HeyOK
Hello to all my wonderful friends...  I've been a bit absent lately running around in the meat world.  Seems so much happens sometimes.  I look forward to catching up on your blogs soon and commenting days and weeks later.

Finally took some yard pics yesterday.  The nights have been getting colder so it's time to start putting the yard to bed.  Brought all the caladiums in with the hope that this time I will be successful and overwinter them (like underdog if at first you don't succeed try and try again.)  There's baby goldfish in the pond to bring in as well.  Seems like yesterday I put the (now mamas and papas) out there.  Here's a celiosa shot - I did get a lot of great flowers for a recovery year after neglect...

Celiosa 9-10

And since that shows the shape yet not the color here's another...

Celiosa Close

Also some cool Amaranthus...

Amaranthus red 9-10

I've been harshly trimming bushes, plants and trees as well and wishing them well as they recover looking better than ever.  That's my intent at least.

Been reading quite a bit this summer.  Lots of great books with lots to say about them - just haven't formulated the thoughts yet.  Blogfest when and if it happens.

Also spent a week on the North Shore of Lake Superior with some great friends.  I slept in a poncho covered hammock for four nights.  It rained every day which was a pain as due to dry conditions we could only have a fire from 6pm til midnight.  After a deluge the last night all bans were lifted so I did get one AM fire with my coffee.  That's my favorite time is sitting by the fire in the AM as everyone tumbles out of tents and stumbles around waking up.  Thankful for the crashing waves and GREAT friends to escape with!

Today I'm off to Camp Ripley.  Some of my Norwegian friends are in town (and state) to finalize plans for the 35th Annual Troop Exchange in FEB of 2008.  I'll be the Officer in Charge this year for the 100 Minnesota troops going over.  Exciting and lots of planning left to do.  Can't wait to ski bavck up that mountain and party hardy...

And that's the short scoop.  I wish you all well and all the blessings you can handle.  Be the Change in whatever ways you're able and together we'll keep changing the world.

Love and Hugs, David

David, those photos are breathtaking!  Especially the third one.

And I can't believe you mentioned the Underdog.  That's a big part of the body of work I'm developing.  How we all are or aren't the underdog, and specifically how this plays out for us at work and what we can do about it.  On a related note, I've been working on this process called SoulCollage(tm) and have posted the collages I've developed so far.  AND, one of my  collage cards is in honor of … the Underdog!   See show here.

Keep up the amazing photo shooting!

Thanks Mary_C “try and try again,” I say!  Unfortunately you have pulled the slide show down at present so I didn't get to see it.
I'm at present breaking through the crust from a lot of piled up stuff… (read SHIT).  All good in the end; I have a feeling.Blesssings, David

Sure do understand that breaking through a pile of sh!t.  I read a book lately called, “Riding Grace,” and the biggest message I got through the whole thing was, despite what is going on in your life, it is not because you're a screw-up or because you are being punished by the universe, or because you're doing anything wrong, or because you can't lose weight, or because your back spasms keep you close to home - bottom line: THIS is your life, for whatever reason and Deal with it.  That's almost the best understanding of being in the present moment I can understand, no regretting the past or worrying about the future.

I don't know where that came from.  I was merely going to answer you to give you the link to my SoulCollage(tm) cards again, and hope it works for you :)  Mary

P.S.  If that doesn't work, try this link.

He hee - I know where it came from 'cause it was specifically what I needed to hear.

The new link works and I find those very interesting.  I might have to get a set.

Thanks, Hugs, and Blessings, David

It's funny how that works (“channeled writing”).

Yes do check out SoulCollage.  You actually make the cards for yourself.  You make them  personally meaningful for you.  I've noticed that since I've started making these about 6 weeks ago – this is going to sound weird – I've started having these very vivid dreams, of a different quality of my usual dreams.  And also, making them must have pressed a creativity button in my head, because I'm doing, making, creating so much stuff it's crazy.  In one weekend I created a blog (independent of zaadz) of some crazy experiences I've been having with medical personnel,  just to have an outlet.  Got my friends involved as guest posters.  I actually stayed up til 1am the other night, which I never do.

Okay I'll stop now.  Keep up the great photog work David.  M
